Notes;

For our Napoleonic games we use 6mm H&R figures, roughly 40-70 Infantry figures per base, two bases per "Unit"

About 20-30 cavalry per base, again two bases per "Unit". And finally 2 guns + crews per base, two bases per 8 gun battery. [3 if 12 guns]

The base sizes are;

Type Frontage Depth Unit Size

Foot 100mm 50mm 1600’ish

Mounted 100mm 50mm 800’ish

Artillery 50mm 50mm 4 guns*

Staff ##mm ##mm ##

* The reason the Artillery seems under strength, is we’ve fought it very powerful!

Each infantry "Brigade Base" has 12 "Parts/companies".

· In line, 6 parts fire, whilst 6 are in reserve. 2 bases wide, side by side in line.

· In attack column, 1 part may be in skirmish & 11 parts are in column. 1 base wide, one behind the other.

· In march column, turn base[s] sideways on.

· In square, 2 parts may fire per side. Bases turned back-to-back .

Each cavalry Brigade Base has 6 "Parts/squadrons"

· In line, both bases are side by side.

· In attack column, bases are one behind the other.

· In march column, turn base[s] sideways on.

· In complete skirmish, space bases out 1 base width apart.

Each artillery battery has 8 "guns"

· Limbered, bases are placed one behind the other.

· Deployed, bases are placed side by side.

· Per extra 4 guns, add 1 base.
